Who we Are
The MSU Action team competes primarily through the Scholastic Action Shooting Program at regional and national matches. We also organize matches through IDPA and Steel Challenge at an informal level.
Costs to Join & Fundraising Requirements
Due to this team being part of a club sport, we are not funded by Michigan State University in any way. This means our members do all of the club’s fundraising so we can practice and compete throughout the year. The team provides multiple opportunities to fundraise, and members are welcome to come up with their own ideas too.
Each member’s dues are $180 for the whole year! This covers ammunition, jerseys, and shared team equipment.
Competitions are paid for individually on a “pay to play” basis, which covers entry fees and travel expenses.
Perks
We have all costs covered by the team in order to practice weekly. We also have social events and fun shoots throughout the year. We encourage action shooting to be a fun and welcoming environment, and members are welcome to bring friends and family to shoot and participate.
