What Do We Do?
We shoot air and .22 caliber pistols. Air is standing only at 10 meters, sport pistol is shot standing at 50 feet, and action steel plate competitions can be held at various distances.
What we Shoot: SASP
Five stage rapid fire match with five steel plates at each stage at various distances, which means we shoot five steel targets at different distances and positions in the fastest time possible. We also travel all around the country competing and are the 2022 National Champions in the Rimfire Optics Rifle division.
Costs to Join & Fundraising Requirements
Due to this team being a part of a club sport, we are not funded by Michigan State University in any way. This means our members do all of the club’s fundraising so we can practice and compete throughout the year. The team provides multiple opportunities to fundraise, and members are welcome to come up with their own ideas, too
Each member’s dues are $180 for the whole year! These dues and fundraisers cover ammo, targets for practice and competitions, and a team shirt/Jersey.
Benefits
We have all costs covered by the team in order to shoot. We also have a lot of social events that all members are welcome to participate in and even bring friends to shoot and participate. Foster a community atmosphere to develop and enhance shooting skills
